Faux Bois

Let's learn a little designer term... Faux Bois (from the French for false wood) refers to the artistic imitation of wood or wood grains in various media. It's something that's been around forever, but maybe you weren't sure of what it was, or how prevalent it is...

I think using a Faux Bois piece is a great way to add texture or visual interest without really using wood, if the space doesn't call for it... Here are a few of some of the wonderful applications that this "False Wood" can be used...
